The Vision
For more than twenty-seven years, I have walked alongside women rebuilding their lives after crisis. Along the way, I began serving young women who had experienced exploitation, trafficking and profound trauma.
Thirteen years into my career, one truth became impossible to ignore.
Rescue is a critical step, but it is only the beginning of healing. Deep healing requires time.
Why young Women?
There is a critical gap in the journey from rescue to lasting restoration.
Many young women escape exploitation and trafficking and find safety through emergency shelters, crisis intervention, and short-term programs. These organizations provide life-saving care and lay an essential foundation for healing.
Yet when those programs end, many survivors are left without the long-term support, community, and the life skills needed to build stable, independent lives.
Without continued care, some find themselves vulnerable once again—returning to unhealthy relationships, exploitation, or even the traffickers they escaped.
The Healer's Refuge envisions care and structure to close that gap.
The Healer's Refuge does not plan to duplicate or replace the remarkable work already being done by other frontline organizations. Rather it is envisioned as a complementary program, creating opportunities for dynamic partnerships with organizations serving young survivors. Together, we can extend the continuum of care by providing a place where young women continue healing, build confidence and essential life skills, pursue education and meaningful employment, strengthen their faith, and ultimately flourish well beyond program completion.

The Heart Behind the Vision
Elizabeth Lambert has spent nearly three decades serving vulnerable women and girls through non-profit leadership, workforce development, counseling, life coaching, advocacy, speaking and program development.
Her life's work has been to walk alongside clients in their darkest seasons, empower, and equip them to step into lives of purpose, dignity and freedom.
The Healer's Refuge is the natural next step, an expansion of a lifelong calling to bring healing, hope, and wholeness to girls who need it most.
